The technology is the same. The people, the animals, all look the same.
Nothing's changed. Not really...
Yet there is something so very different about this world.
BUT IT'S HARD TO PUT A FINGER ON WHAT IT IS.
It's not obvious at first.
But then slowly, signs begin to emerge.
Abilities, of sorts, that people seem to have.
Did that man just send a blast of fire at that woman? Did that woman just retaliate with a burst of water of her own? Did that guy over there just... disappear in front of your eyes?
THEN THERE'S THIS STRANGE CASTE SYSTEM GOING ON.
The society used to be divided into sects, with each sect being made up of over a hundred people who share similar abilities.
Nowadays, the sect system is slowly phasing out as people from different sects are starting to mingle more with each other and forming close bonds of friendship or more.
Most people are happy with this development, seeing no need for discrimination and open hostilities.
But some disapprove of the mingling of sects, and will go to extreme lengths to prevent the boundaries from being crossed.
THAT'S NOT ALL.
Everywhere, people are settling down with others of the same sex.
There's the occasional couple made up of a man and a woman, but mostly it's men with men, and women with women.
IS THIS ALL NORMAL?
Yes - quite normal, in fact.
THERE EXIST MANY ALTERNATE REALITIES.
